PMIS has delivered Earned Value training courses since 1993. During this time, we have built a wealth of knowledge and material covering all aspects of EVM, and have become the UK's leading provider of Earned Value Management training.  We specialise in helping organisations identify how they can improve their control and management of projects through using Earned Value.

The central concepts of Earned Value Analysis are relatively simple. However, when organisations choose to adopt EVM, it often identifies issues or gaps in the project planning and management process, rather than add a structured measure of project performance. This is very common; PMIS's courses demonstrate the aspects that must be addressed in order to provide reliable and useful EVM data. Our EVM courses will demonstrate very clearly how:

• to bring complete objectivity (and therefore accuracy) to Earned Value data
• to produce EV data based upon a true reflection of technical performance (workscope)
• many (UK) implementations don't actually show Earned value
• to turn this into a valuable management tool, not just a reporting exercise.

• Implementing & Using Earned Value provides a solid introduction for those who need to use Earned value data or the EVA processes & system.   Also covers the keys to making EV work well, and the issues to avoid.

In-house Earned Value Courses:

• Executive Overview of Earned Value: describes the benefits and the impacts of implementing EVM.
• Earned Value Practitioner: for those  who will use the data to manage, and those involved in developing and implementing Earned Value systems and processes.  This course is normally combined with representative data from the business and works best when it reflects the terminology and processes being employed in your business.  For example, if you have or are developing an Earned Value System Description, this would be an ideal input to the course.
• Earned Value for IT Projects: EVM in the context of IT Projects.
