What is PRINCE2 ™?

PRINCE2 was published in 1996. It was developed by and is owned by the UK Government, as their standard 'method' for managing projects. Since then, it has been adopted by many public and private sector organisations, as their framework for Project Management.

Why choose PMIS for Prince2 Training?

We have been delivering Project Management training for well over a decade, and have continually developed our training capability and products throughout this period.  We understand the method, and the role of the Project Management function, as well as how to develop the delivery capabilities of an organisation.

With regards to the Prince2 examination and accreditation process, we will help you wherever we can beforehand, and in the very unlikely event that you are unsuccessful, we will provide you with personal feedback and support following the examination process.

PRINCE2 Training Accreditation

PRINCE2 Training accreditation is managed by APM Group, on behalf of the Office of Government and Commerce (OGC). APM Group was founded in 1993 as the trading arm of the UK's Association of Project Management. APM Group has contracted with OGC to manage all PRINCE2 training accreditation, including examinations and formal qualifications.

Only Prince2 training courses that have been accredited by APM Group can officially use the OGC PRINCE2 logo.

PRINCE2 ™ Examinations - Foundation & Practitioner

The PRINCE2 examination process is administered by APM Group, on behalf of OGC.

  • The Foundation examination is a 75 question multiple choice paper, taking one hour. The foundation exam is ideal for those who require to demonstrate a working knowledge of the method.

  • The Practitioner examination is a 3 hour case study objective test. The practitioner exam is suitable for project managers using PRINCE2 and those responsible for implementing the method. The Foundation exam must be passed before taking the Practitioner.

Delegates attending an accredited Practitioner Course are registered by OGC as 'PRINCE2 Registered Practitioners' having passed the Practitioner exam.
